Altadena and Pacific Palisades community members: Help us share the story of what you lost – Jobsmaa.com

The Times is creating a community page for friends, family and fellow Angelenos to remember what we lost in the Eaton and Palisades fires.

The fire destroyed communities and killed at least two dozen people. People lost their homes. Cultural symbols were destroyed. Livelihoods are disrupted. If you live in a safe area and would like to share a memory of the things you lost in the fire, please fill out the form below.

The Times will later use your stories and photos about the lost in a visual collection of memories.

Altadena and Pacific Palisades are home to vibrant, tight-knit communities. In the first days after the fires started, mutual aid and commitment to rebuilding proved that the souls of these communities were not going anywhere. We want to honor these experiences by amplifying the voices and stories that make up these neighborhoods.

We understand that some people still don't have the words to describe the impact of wildfires, and that processing and healing is always evolving and will take time. Here at The Times, we intend to honor the individual feeling and experience of each person faced with this tragedy, and offer this space for reflection, storytelling and the ongoing journey towards redemption.

Submissions will be open for several weeks. We may not be able to respond to and publish all submissions, but we do read each one. Multiple submissions are welcome. This social page is your place to be, whenever you want.

It will be here.
