Two caught on camera stealing fire equipment from U.S. Forest Service in Southern California – Jobsmaa.com

Authorities are trying to identify and locate two men caught in security footage stealing fire equipment from a U.S. Forest Service vehicle in San Bernardino County.

On January 17, around 3:30 a.m., two men in a red two-door Jeep Wrangler pulled into the parking lot of the Hilton Inn Express on Milliken Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga. Press release From the San Bernardino National Forest Division of the US Forest Service.

Men are stationed near San Bernardino National Forest Engine 336, which was on standby for an emergency during the Santa Ana wind event, officials said. The men got out of their car, forced open three locked trunks of a US Forest Service vehicle, took firefighting equipment and loaded it into their Jeep.

Turning around at Milliken Avenue and Fifth Street, the men drove off, authorities said.

Both were described as 5'7″ to 6'0″ tall. One was of medium to large build with a thin moustache, wearing a red jacket and a black knit cap. The other was wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue long-sleeved shirt and jeans. Their Jeep had a California license plate beginning with the number 6, tan seats and a black soft top.
