A mob vandalized a self-driving Waymo vehicle in the Beverly Grove neighborhood of Los Angeles early Saturday morning, police said.
Los Angeles Police Department Public Information Officer J. Chavez said police received a call about a group vandalizing a robotaxi near La Cineca Boulevard and West 3rd Street. Officials took a vandalism report, he said.
The unmanned vehicle was reportedly stopped at a red light when it was pulled over. There were no injuries and no arrests.
Waymo spokeswoman Julia Ilina said the company is working closely with authorities investigating the incident. “While such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and are committed to improving road safety and mobility in the cities where we operate,” he said in a statement.

Some reports indicated the incident was a street takeover, but Chavez said police had not recovered any evidence of the takeover.
Last year, a crowd surrounded a Waymo car in San Francisco's Chinatown. He vandalized it and then set it on fire.
