A 40-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing temporary storage of military equipment, including three Hamwis at night at the Army Reserve Center in Dustin, police said.

Three Hamweights of all the terrain vehicle used in military operations to carry passengers and cargo were taken. Eight machine rifle loads, seven freeistanding machine gun, medical equipment, 40 pairs of telescopes and 18 bayonets have disappeared, police said.
Three days after theft, police said they had recovered two Hamvis – one in Santa Ana and the other in the orange. But the third vehicle and the remaining gear were not calculated until January 16, when the authorities said the third Hamwei and other missing equipment were recovered while offering the search warrants in the orange.
At the time, officials arrested a suspect who was identified as Alpharado Reis Jr.
It is not clear what the police have triggered to suspect Rais. Officials refused to provide more details on the case on Thursday.
In recent years, many Hamwis have been taken from military bases across the country, including California.
