Eligibility Criteria

  • Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for filling up vacancies (Leave / Regular) that may arise during the academic year 2026-27 (from 01.04.2026 to 31.3.2027), purely on contract basis in Atomic Energy Central Schools-1 & 2, DAE Colony, ECIL Post, Hyderabad – 500 062.
  • Selection of candidates for the teaching posts of TGTs, PRTs and Balvatika Teachers will be prepared under Panel-I (with all requisite qualifications), Panel-II (without CTET for TGT & PRT) and Panel-III (without teaching qualification) as per notification.
  • Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) – General Essential Qualification: Three years Bachelor’s / Honours Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA in the subject(s) concerned or combination of subjects as mentioned in Table–1 and pass in B.Ed degree from a recognized University/Institution; OR four years integrated Bachelor’s Degree with B.Ed of Regional Institute of Education of NCTE or any NCTE-recognized institution with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in the subject(s) concerned or combination of subjects as per Table–1.
  • For TGTs, qualification in Paper-II of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE is essential for Panel-I.
  • TGT (English): Studied English as an Elective/Main subject in at least 3 years/6 semesters of the course; desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • TGT (Social Science): Studied any two subjects out of History, Geography, Economics and Political Science during graduation, of which one must be either History or Geography in at least 3 years/6 semesters as Elective/Main subject and the second subject for at least one year/any two semesters; candidates under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) with these subjects are also eligible; desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • TGT (Hindi/Sanskrit): Studied Hindi/Sanskrit as an Elective/Main subject in at least 3 years/6 semesters of the course; desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • TGT (Maths/Physics): Must have studied Mathematics as Elective/Main subject in at least 3 years/6 semesters, Physics for at least 1 year/any 2 semesters, and one of Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science or Statistics for at least 1 year/any 2 semesters; candidates under CBCS with these subjects are also eligible; candidates with B.Sc (Hons.) in Physics or Chemistry are not eligible for TGT (Maths/Physics); desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • TGT (Chemistry/Biology): Candidates should have studied Biology/Life Science/Botany/Zoology as Hons/Main Subject in at least 3 years/6 semesters with specified combinations of subsidiary subjects (Chemistry and Botany/Zoology) for at least one year or any 2 semesters; candidates under CBCS with these subjects are also eligible; desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • TGT (Computer Science): B.Sc (Computer Science)/B.Sc (IT)/BCA or equivalent from recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA; OR B.E/ B.Tech (Computer Science/IT/Computer Engineering) with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA; OR ‘A’ Level from ‘DOEACC’, Ministry of Information and Communication Technology with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA and a graduation degree in any subject from a recognized University; AND B.Ed Degree with at least 50% from NCTE recognized Institution/University; desirable: working knowledge of English and Hindi/other regional language and experience of working in a school.
  • Primary Teacher (PRT) – General Essential Qualification (Table-II, Sr. No. 07): Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary / Intermediate (10+2) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized Institute/Board; OR Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary / Intermediate (Class XII) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) from recognized Institute/Board; OR Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary / Intermediate/Class-XII with at least 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in Education (Special Education) from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
  • For PRT (general), qualification in Central Teacher Eligibility Test Paper-I conducted by Government of India is mandatory and proficiency to teach through Hindi and English medium is required; desirable: Knowledge of working on computer.
  • PRT (Telugu) (Table-II, Sr. No. 08): 50% pass marks in Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate Test or Intermediate or equivalent with Telugu as a subject at +2 level and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from recognized Institution; OR 50% pass marks in Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Intermediate or equivalent with Telugu as a subject in +2 level and four years B.El.Ed from recognized Institution; OR 50% pass marks in Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Intermediate or equivalent with Telugu as a subject in +2 level and two years Diploma in Education (D.Ed) from a recognized Institution with proficiency in teaching Telugu as 2nd/3rd language up to class VIII and knowledge of Telugu grammar; desirable: experience of working in a school and knowledge of working on computer.
  • PRT (Music) (Table-II, Sr. No. 09): Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary / Intermediate (Class XII) with 50% marks from recognized board and Bachelor’s Degree in Music/Performing Arts from a recognized Institution/University, provided music is studied as main subject in all years of the degree; working knowledge of Hindi and English is required; candidates having only diploma in music are not eligible; desirable: Knowledge of Computer applications.
  • Balvatika Teacher (BVT) (Table-III, Sr. No. 10): Pass in Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or Intermediate or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA with English as subject in +2 level; plus Diploma in Nursery Teachers Education / Pre-School Education / Early Childhood Education Programme (D.E.C.Ed) of duration not less than two years, or B.Ed (Nursery) from NCTE recognized Institution; proficiency in teaching in English Medium and working knowledge of Computer are required; desirable: working knowledge of Hindi.
  • Note: For TGT posts, candidates without B.Ed but having 60% and above marks in Science subjects and 55% marks in Humanities in Graduation may be considered if candidates with requisite qualification are not available, at the discretion of the institution.
  • Graduates can be considered for the post of PRTs if candidates with +2 with D.Ed are not available, at the sole discretion of the institution.
  • PRTs shortlisted candidates should be willing to teach Balvatika classes, and it will be the right of Atomic Energy Education Society to do so.
  • For Panel-I, CTET qualification is a must for PRTs (Paper-I) and TGTs (Paper-II).
  • Proficiency in teaching in English is compulsory for all categories except regional language.
  • Teachers retired from KVS, NVS and AEES are eligible to apply for contract teacher posts, provided they are below the age of 65 years and they have to appear in Skill test and Demo Teaching Class.

Salary/Stipend

  • Balvatika Teacher (BVT) will be paid Rs. 27,625/- per month (Consolidated) with applicable TDS as per rule 17.
  • Primary Teacher (PRT) and Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) will be paid Rs. 34,125/- per month (Consolidated) with applicable TDS as per rule 17.
  • All posts are purely on contract basis for the academic year 2026-27 (from 01.04.2026 to 31.3.2027) and payment will be as per the notified consolidated pay.

Age Limit (as on 01-04-2026)

  • Balvatika Teacher (BVT): Maximum age 30 years as on 01-04-2026.
  • Primary Teacher (PRT): Maximum age 35 years as on 01-04-2026.
  • Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): Maximum age 35 years as on 01-04-2026.
  • Age relaxation up to 5 years is applicable for SC/ST candidates.
  • Age relaxation up to 3 years is applicable for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
  • Age relaxation up to 10 years is applicable for Women candidates.
  • Age relaxation for Physically Challenged candidates is as per Government of India norms.
