Eligibility Criteria for OTET 2026

Paper I (Classes 1 to 5):

• Higher Secondary (+2 or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PH).
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / CT) OR 4-year B.El.Ed OR 2-year Diploma in Special Education.
• Final year students of NCTE/RCI recognized teacher education programmes are eligible.

Paper II (Classes 6 to 8):

• Graduation in Arts/Science/Commerce with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
• 1-year or 2-year B.Ed OR 2-year D.El.Ed OR 4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed.
• Final year students of recognized teacher training courses are eligible.

Other Criteria:

• Candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
• Minimum age: 21 years (no upper age limit).
