GATE Eligibility Criteria 2026 for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) allows candidates who are currently in the 3rd year or higher of any undergraduate degree program or have completed any government-approved degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science/Commerce/Arts/Humanities to appear for the exam.
IIT Guwahati is the Organizing Institute for GATE 2026. GATE Eligibility Criteria 2026 – Educational Qualification
Candidates must be currently studying in the 3rd year or higher, or have already completed a government-approved qualifying degree. There is no minimum percentage required in the qualifying degree. A candidate can choose up to two papers from the allowed combinations.
