A total of 1191 vacancies have been announced trade-wise across UR, EWS, OBC, SC and ST categories for Bilaspur Division. Ex-Servicemen reservation is 10% (horizontal, included in respective parent categories). PWD reservation is horizontal and included in overall vacancies. Track Machine/BSP total is 17 (all categories: 0 notified separately; included in total).

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of application, i.e. 11-06-2026. Only 10th and ITI marks should be filled in the qualification section on the portal — no other higher qualification should be filled, otherwise the application will be automatically rejected. If an applicant belongs to SC/ST/OBC community, they should upload a recent caste certificate issued by the competent authority on the portal.

The candidate should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 11-06-2026. Age relaxation is subject to submission of latest caste certificate. Date of birth community-wise is as under:
Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST candidates, 03 years for OBC, and 10 years for Ex-Servicemen and PWD.
SECR Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared by taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by candidates in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination, giving equal weightage to both (Establishment Rule 201/2017). Candidates must fill their 10th and ITI marks on the portal in the qualification section; otherwise the application will be automatically rejected. No higher qualification should be filled. There is no written examination — selection is purely on merit basis.

How to Apply for SECR Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026
Applications must be submitted online only through the website https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in from 12-05-2026 to 11-06-2026 (till 23:59 hrs). No physical copy of the application is required to be sent to the office. Candidates must upload a soft/scanned copy of their present passport size color photograph and scanned signature along with necessary documents pertaining to educational/technical qualification on the website. Candidates are advised to apply online well before the closing date.
If the option of EWS/Ex-Serviceman is not available on the portal, candidates should apply on the portal from their actual category (e.g. UR, OBC, SC, ST) and send/submit the EWS/Ex-Serviceman certificate physically to this office.
Note: Applicants whose father’s name and applicant’s name in their 10th mark sheet, ITI mark sheet, Aadhar card and PAN card do not match, their application will be rejected at the time of document verification. In case of any doubt/contradiction, only the English format of the notification will be valid.

- Applications must be submitted online only on https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in; no physical copy is required to be sent to this office.
- Candidates must fill only their 10th and ITI marks on the portal in the qualification section — do not fill any other higher qualification, otherwise the application will be automatically rejected.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC community must upload a recent caste certificate issued by the competent authority on the portal.
- PWD candidates must produce a disability certificate issued by a competent authority with not less than 40% of disability (Medical Board duly constituted by Central or State Government).
- Ex-Servicemen candidates selected under the 10% reservation will be placed in the appropriate category (UR/SC/ST/OBC) to which they belong.
- Candidature will be cancelled if the candidate fails to produce required original testimonials for verification or any discrepancy is noticed.
- If wrong/fake/false certificates are noticed, the railway administration reserves the right to discharge the candidate at any stage without notice, even after selection.
- Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidate.
- No Travelling Allowance/Daily Allowance shall be paid to the candidates.
- It is not obligatory for the employer to offer any employment to any apprentice after completion of training.
- The decision of the Railway administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications and mode of selection shall be final.
