How to Check CBSE Class 12 Result Without Admit Card ID

No official method exists to check CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 without admit card ID (roll number). The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 results on May 13, 2026. All official platforms require your roll number, school number, and other credentials from the admit card. Students who lost their admit card should immediately contact their school for recovery.

CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 Overview

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) Results 2026 on 13th May 2026. Lakhs of students who appeared for the exams can now access their scores through multiple verified platforms. However, there is no name-wise or direct search option available without key identification details.

Official CBSE Websites Require Roll Number

All official CBSE result portals, including cbseresults.nic.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and results.nic.in, mandate the following details to view marks:

  • Roll Number
  • School Number
  • Admit Card ID / Centre Number

CBSE does not provide any official facility for checking results by name, Aadhaar number, or without these credentials. Students are advised to keep their admit card safe or note down the details beforehand. In case of heavy traffic on result day, the websites may load slowly -users should try after some time or use alternative methods.

DigiLocker and UMANG App Access

DigiLocker offers a convenient way to download digitally signed marksheets and certificates. Students need to log in using their Aadhaar-linked mobile number. Once logged in, search for CBSE documents using your roll number and the access code (usually sent via SMS). This platform provides a permanent, verifiable digital copy of your result.

The UMANG App (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) also allows easy access to CBSE results. After selecting the CBSE service, you may need your roll number along with date of birth in some flows. These apps reduce dependency on websites but still require core student identifiers for authentication.

SMS Service for Results

CBSE provides an SMS facility for students facing website issues. The standard format is:

CBSE12

Send this message to 7738299899. This service also requires your roll number and other details printed on the admit card. It serves as a quick backup method when official websites are slow due to high traffic.

Avoid Unofficial Name-Search Websites

Many third-party websites and YouTube channels claim to offer name-based or admit card ID-free CBSE result checks. These are not endorsed by CBSE and often pose risks of incorrect data, malware, or phishing. Stick exclusively to official platforms like cbseresults.nic.in, DigiLocker, and UMANG for accurate and secure result access.

How to Recover Forgotten Roll Number or Admit Card ID

If you have lost your admit card:

  • Check your school portal, previous emails, or class WhatsApp groups.
  • Contact your school principal, exam coordinator, or office immediately -schools maintain complete student records including roll numbers.
  • Reach out to your respective CBSE Regional Office if school assistance is delayed.

Avoid unverified “roll number finder” tools online, as they can compromise your personal information. Once you recover the roll number, you can easily access your result on all platforms.
