The contractee is entitled to one casual leave per month, subject to approval by the Controlling Authority. All taxes including TDS will be deducted as per Income Tax Rules. The contractee will be provided shared single accommodation inside the campus, preferably in the Hostel if available. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the Personal Talk.

NVS Chandigarh Hostel Superintendent Recruitment 2026 – Key Duties & Responsibilities
Exclusive Duties include ensuring cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of dormitories; ensuring safety and security of students during academic and non-academic hours; distribution of student entitlement items (daily use, bedding, stationery, uniform); enforcing daily routine including wake-up, lights-off, and escort during activities; processing student leave applications; maintaining day-wise out-pass and in-pass records; and reporting any abnormalities to the Principal/HM.
General Duties include being affectionate and polite with students; attending to student well-being, comfort and happiness; coordinating with VP/HMs/AHMs/Office Superintendent; ensuring impartiality towards all students; briefing the Principal about any problem beyond the Hostel Superintendent’s domain; maintaining good conduct, punctuality and moral values at all times; and any other duties assigned by the Principal.
The contractee must reside on campus and devote their whole time to the duties of service. The contractee shall not engage directly or indirectly in any trade, business or occupation on their own account during the contract period.
NVS Chandigarh Hostel Superintendent Recruitment 2026 – Contract Terms
The engagement is purely on a contract basis for the academic session 2026-27. The contract may be terminated by either party by giving one month’s notice or one month’s remuneration in lieu thereof. Consequent upon expiry of the contract period, the contractee shall not have any right to continuation/re-engagement. Re-engagement may be considered only after review of performance, utility and usefulness, at the sole discretion of NVS. The contractee shall not have any claim for regularization of services.
The contractee shall attend orientation/training programmes organized by NVS and shall not reveal any data or information about Vidyalaya activities to any person outside the Vidyalaya during or after the contract period. In case of any dispute, jurisdiction shall lie with the Hon’ble Court of Law in the concerned District where the JNV is located.
