KRCL Mechanical Department Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the cut-off date 01-05-2026. Candidates must ensure they fulfill the criteria before attending the walk-in interview for a particular post. KRCL Mechanical Department Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit
The upper age limit is 50 years for all posts as on 01-05-2026. Age relaxation is provided to reserved category candidates as per Government guidelines. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen is discretionary.
KRCL Mechanical Department Recruitment 2026 – Remuneration
The consolidated monthly remuneration is inclusive of Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance, and Mobile Allowance. Remuneration is classified as per A Class, B Class, and C Class cities. Annual remuneration will increase by 4% of the consolidated remuneration after completion of every year, subject to requirement of KRCL and at the discretion of KRCL. No accommodation and no Food/Mess Allowance will be provided by KRCL.
Other Allowances/Facilities: Insurance, Payment of Gratuity, and Bonus as per provisions of New Labour Code-2026 (as applicable). TA as per extant KRCL policy for official travel beyond the project area. Complementary Railway Pass for travel on duty as per extant KRCL policy. Rest House of KRCL if available while on duty; otherwise hotel charge reimbursement as per KRCL rates on production of vouchers. 15 days fully earned leave on completion of every 6 months (2.5 leaves per month); 8 days Casual Leave during the year. Weekly off and public holidays as applicable at place of posting.

The selection process for KRCL Mechanical Department Recruitment 2026 is through Walk-in Interview. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria may report directly for the walk-in interview at the specified venue with all original certificates and one copy of application in prescribed format (Annexure-A) along with one set of self-attested copies of all required certificates. Registration will be done between 09:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs only on the date of walk-in interview.
After preliminary screening of applications submitted in person, only provisionally eligible candidates will be interviewed. Group Discussion (GD) or any other elimination round like written test may be introduced depending on the number of candidates; only those who clear the elimination round will be called for further selection. The nominated Committee’s decision shall be final and binding. No train/bus fare/TA/DA shall be payable by KRCL for attending the walk-in interview. Candidates should come prepared to stay for a minimum of 2 days if required, at their own cost.

Selected candidates will be required to pass a prescribed medical examination before the contract is entered into. Selected candidates must be able to join within a maximum of 30 days after issuance of offer of appointment. Selected candidates will be required to execute an agreement and indemnity bond of Rs. 50,000/- in favour of KRCL on stamp paper of Rs. 100/- or more.

- Candidates must ensure they fulfill the eligibility criteria before attending the walk-in interview for a particular post.
- Registration time is strictly 09:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs only on the date of the walk-in interview; late arrivals will not be registered.
- Candidate can appear for interview at this one venue only; no TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview.
- This engagement is on a fixed term contract basis and shall not result in regular/permanent absorption in KRCL service. Candidates must give an undertaking in writing to KRCL to this effect.
- Selected candidate can be posted and transferred at any time, anywhere to the KRCL establishment during the contract period.
- Contract may be terminated by giving one month’s notice from either side or payment in lieu thereof. Contract can be terminated without notice if performance is not satisfactory.
- No accommodation will be provided and no Food/Mess Allowance will be paid by KRCL.
- Even after contractual agreement, if any document/certificate/information is found incorrect or false, contractual service will be immediately terminated without prior notice, besides legal action.
- Candidates who are already working in KRCL on contract basis and selected against this notification do not require to follow the condition of notice period for joining the new post; however, a relieving letter from the concerned Konkan Railway authority will be required at the time of joining.
- The Corporation reserves the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/enlarge the contract engagement process without any prior notice and without assigning any reason.
