(E-408634) to fill the 06 Project Associate, Project Fellow-I, Field Assistant, Technical Assistant, Young Professional– Posts. This online facility will be available on the Official website @ https://www.nbfgr.res.in/ from 31.12.2025 to 16.01.2026. 

Candidates with a 10th, B.Sc, B.F.Sc, M.Sc, M.F.Sc, B.E/B.Tech, M.Tech  are eligible to apply for these opportunities. Kochi is where posts are typically made. NBFGR Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for NBFGR: 

1. Project Associate
   • Essential Qualification:  M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Biotechnology / Life Science, research experience in the relevant field of genomics, bioinformatics preferred
2. Project Fellow-I
   • Essential Qualification:  M.F.Sc. / M.Sc. in Zoology or Fisheries Science. Research experience in the relevant field of Fish taxonomy and Molecular works
3. Field Assistant
   • Essential Qualification: 10th Pass 
   • Desirable: Work experience in field work related to freshwater fish culture, hatchery management, and cage culture, netting, live germplasm maintenance
4. Technical Assistant
   • Essential Qualification: B.F.Sc. / B.Sc. in Zoology / B.Voc. Aquaculture / Biotechnology / B.E. / B.Tech. Bioinformatics / B.E. / B.Tech. Computer Science 
   • Desirable: Experience in fish sampling and basic laboratory work. Working knowledge in computers / Microsoft Office / CorelDraw / Photoshop etc.
5. Young Professional–I 
   • Essential Qualification: B.F.Sc. or Graduate in Life Science 
   • Experience: One year of working knowledge in aquaculture / extension / livelihood promotion / value addition in seafood-related activities

Age Limit for NBFGR: 

1. Project Associate – Maximum 35 years
2. Project Fellow-I – Maximum 35 years
3. Field Assistant – Maximum 45 years
4. Technical Assistant – Maximum 50 years
5. Young Professional–I – Minimum 21 year : Maximum 45 year

Relaxation of Upper age limit: 

• For SC/ ST Applicants: +5 years
• For OBC Applicants: +3 years 
• For PwBD (Gen/ EWS) Applicants: +10 years 
• For PwBD (SC/ ST) Applicants: +15 years 
• For PwBD (OBC) Applicants: +13 years
