Indian Air Force invites ONLINE applications from MALE INDIAN/ GORKHA (A SUBJECT OF NEPAL) citizens from all States and UTs for selection test on 30 March 2026/ 31 March 2026 to join Indian Air Force as Airmen in the Group ‘Y’ Medical Assistant trade. This online facility will be available on the Official website @ https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in/ from 12.01.2026 at 11.00 AM to 01.02.2026 at 11.00 PM. Indian Air Force Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for Indian Air Force: 

• Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with 10+2):
  • Candidates should have passed 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with a minimum of 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in aggregate and with 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in English. OR
  • Should have passed two years’ Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from Education Boards/ Councils recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in aggregate and 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in English. 
• Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy):
  • Candidate with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy. Candidates should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in aggregate and 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in English. In addition, Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% (Fifty Percentage) marks in aggregate with valid registration from State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment will be mandatory requirement.

Age Limit for Indian Air Force: 

• Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with 10+2) – Candidate should be unmarried and born between 01 January 2006 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).
• Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy) – Unmarried candidates should be born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive). Married candidates should be born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).
• In case, a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 21 years for candidates with 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent including vocational course and Twenty Four Years for Applicants holding Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy.

Pay Scale for Indian Air Force:

• A monthly stipend of Rs. 14,600 would be given during training. 
• Upon completion of training, the minimum gross salary scale, which includes Military Service Pay (MSP), is Rs. 26,900 per month.

Method of Selection for Indian Air Force:

• Phase – I: Online Test
• Phase – II: PFT, Adaptability Test-I, Adaptability Test-II
•  Phase – III: Medical Examination
