Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

• Candidates who have passed ITI certified by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training) are eligible to apply
• ITI Pass Certificate must be in the respective trade being applied for
• Candidates must have completed ITI in one of the 13 mentioned trades: Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Machinist (Grinder), Carpenter, Welder, Electrician, Diesel Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, Attendant Operator Chemical Plant, Painter, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA), or Foundryman

Experience:

• Candidates should not have already undergone or presently undergoing Apprenticeship Training in DRDL or elsewhere
• Candidates who have been terminated from Apprenticeship training at DRDL are not eligible to apply
• Candidates terminated for two times from other establishments are not eligible to apply

Salary/Stipend

• Stipend: As per Government of India notifications
• Stipend will be provided during the one-year apprenticeship training period
• Training Duration: One year from 01-Apr-2026 to 31-Mar-2027
• The engagement is purely for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961
• Completion of training does not entitle candidates any right to claim temporary or permanent job in DRDL

• Selection based on document verification and screening
• Shortlisted candidates will receive email notification on their registered email ID provided in the Apprenticeship Portal
• No separate correspondence or communication will be sent
• Shortlisted candidates must bring all original relevant certificates at the time of verification
• Selection will be done by the Selection & Screening Committee for ITI Apprenticeship Training
• Reservations to SC, ST, OBC and PwD categories are applicable as per Apprentice Act, 1961

General Information/Instructions

• DRDL proposes to engage ITI Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961
• Engagement is purely for ONE YEAR apprenticeship training
• Only candidates who have passed ITI certified by NCVT are eligible
• Reservations to SC, ST, OBC and PwD categories are applicable as per Apprentice Act, 1961
• Candidates should not have already undergone or presently undergoing Apprenticeship Training in DRDL or elsewhere
• Candidates terminated from DRDL apprenticeship training are not eligible
• Candidates terminated twice from other establishments are not eligible
• Incomplete online applications will be rejected without correspondence
• Rejected cases include: No Aadhar linking, Mismatch of Date of Birth, Name & Father’s name mismatch in Aadhar with SSC Certificate & Online Application
• Illegible uploaded documents will be rejected
• Candidates currently employed must submit relieving letter from employer on training joining date
• No TA/DA admissible for verification/interview or at time of joining
• Apprentice will be engaged from 01-Apr-2026 to 31-Mar-2027
• Completion of Training does not entitle candidates any right to claim temporary/permanent job in DRDL

How to Apply

Step 1: Online Application

• Candidates must apply online at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
• Apply on or before 29-Jan-2026, 1700 Hrs
• Complete the profile on the Apprenticeship Portal
• Upload all required documents and signature online
• Complete Aadhar verification successfully
• Note down the Apprentice Registration Number
• Ensure 100% profile completion on the website

Step 2: Physical Application Submission

• After completing online application, submit duly signed application in prescribed format (Appendix-A)
• Attach true copies of uploaded documents:

  • SSC Certificate
  • ITI Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhar Card
  • Proof of online application

• Application must be completed with contact phone number
• Place application in closed envelope
• Super scribe envelope with: “APPLICATION FOR ITI APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING AT DRDL for the period 01-Apr-2026 to 31-Mar-2027”
