Educational Qualification
Qualification is counted as on 31 August 2026.
- Tax Assistant: A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification. After appointment, the candidate must clear a skill test requiring a data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour within the time given in the appointment order.
- Stenographer Grade II: 12th pass from a recognized board or equivalent. After appointment, the candidate must clear a stenography skill test (dictation of 10 minutes at 80 words per minute, followed by transcription on a computer in 50 minutes for English or 65 minutes for Hindi) within the time given in the appointment order.
- Multi-Tasking Staff: 10th pass from a recognized board or equivalent.
Sports Eligibility
Selection takes into account sporting achievements in competitions held between 1 January 2020 and 15 October 2026, in the sports listed in the notification. Consistency of performance, age and educational qualification are also considered. Achievements are weighed in the following order of preference:
- Representing India in an international competition with clearance from the Department of Sports, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
- Representing a State or UT in Senior or Junior National Championships held by recognized National Sports Federations, or in the National Games, and winning a medal or finishing up to 3rd place. Priority goes to those who medalled in the Senior National Championship.
- Representing a university in inter-university competitions (AIU / Inter University Sports Board / Khelo India University Games) and winning a medal or finishing up to 3rd place in the finals.
- Representing a State or UT in Khelo India Youth Games (above 18 years category), Khelo India Winter Games or Khelo India Para Games and winning a medal or finishing up to 3rd place in the finals.
- Representing a State’s school team in the national school games conducted by the School Games Federation of India and winning a medal or finishing up to 3rd place.
- Representing a State, UT, university or State school team at the levels in points 2 to 5 without winning a medal or position.
