HVF Avadi Apprenticeship eligibility criteria include educational qualification, domicile, year of passing, age as per Apprenticeship Rules, reservation norms and physical standards as prescribed in Apprenticeship Rule 1992.
Educational Qualification
- Category I – Graduate Apprentices (Engineering / Technology): Full-time Degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant discipline granted by a Statutory University, Institution empowered by an Act of Parliament, or Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized as equivalent by State/Central Government.
- Category II – Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology in relevant discipline granted by State Technical Education Board, University, or Institution recognized by State/Central Government.
- Category III – Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: Full-time Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/Humanities such as BA/B.Sc/B.Com/BBA/BBM/BCA etc. from Statutory/Deemed University in relevant discipline (UGC approved).
Not Eligible: Candidates with Distance Education / Correspondence degrees, Open University degrees or Post Graduates (PG) are not eligible for Apprenticeship.
Year of Passing & Domicile
- Candidates must be Graduate/Diploma holders who passed in 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025.
- Candidates must hail from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana or Puducherry.
Age Limit
Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
Reservation of Vacancies
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD will be as per Apprentices Act guidelines.
- Candidates claiming SC/ST/OBC/PwD reservation must produce valid certificates in Government-prescribed format; otherwise their claim will be treated as General category.

HVF Avadi Apprentice Selection Process 2026-27
The selection process for HVF Avadi Apprenticeship 2026-27 is based on merit of qualifying examination and certificate verification.
- Shortlisting: Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region) will prepare the shortlist from online application data based on percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification for the respective disciplines.
- Intimation: Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ID.

HVF Avadi Apprentice Stipend & Training Duration 2026-27
All Apprentices engaged under HVF Avadi Apprenticeship 2026-27 will undergo one-year training with monthly stipend as per Apprenticeship norms.
