The IMSc – Institute of Mathematical Sciences has officially announced a massive 2026 recruitment Notification (Advt. No. 01-RIIMSc/2026) to fill 07 Project Associate – I, Project Assistant, Project Assistant, Administrative Trainee, System Trainee vacancies. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, Apply Online on the official Web-site of this IMSc – Institute of Mathematical Sciences i.e. https://www.imsc.res.in/. The online application portal will be opened on 27.04.2026 for filling online applications and the date for closing the online application interface is 10.05.2026.

IMSc Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification for IMSc:

1. Project Associate – I – Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences / Master’s degree in Natural Sciences / B.Tech degree from a recognised university. Candidates must have cleared a national eligibility test – CSIR/UGC-NET, GATE, JAM or JEST.
2. Project Assistant – 1. Master’s degree in Physics/Biology/Mathematics/ Chemistry or B.Tech/M.Tech from a reputed University or Institute. 2. Research work relevant to the project. Familiarity with machine learning and data science is desirable.
3. Project Assistant – Masters degree in Life Sciences or Bioinformatics or Environmental Sciences or Computational Biology from a reputed university or institute and research experience relevance to the project. Knowledge of manual curation of biological datasets, chemical spaces and/or network science is desirable. Candidates with published research articles in reputed international journals is desirable. The selected candidate will work with the project investigator Prof. Areejit Samal.
4. Administrative Trainee – Any bachelor degree with First Class & with good English knowledge. Should have passed out during 2023, 2024 & 2025 Only. The candidate should possess Good working knowledge in MS-Office tools & email operations & Accounting procedure.
5. System Trainee – Should have completed one of the degrees Bachelor Degree in Science (Physics/ Mathematics /Computer Science / IT) (OR) Bachelor Degree in Computer Applications (OR) Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Computer Science/ ECE/EEE/ IT) from a reputed College / Institution with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all years / semesters. Should have passed out during 2023, 2024 & 2025 only

2. Project Assistant – Rs. 48,000/-for those with less than 2 years of experience, Rs. 54,500/-for those with more than 2 years of experiencе

4. Administrative Trainee – Rs.20,000/-
