The CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC), Chennai has officially announced a massive 2026 recruitment Notification (Advt. No. SE-2/2026) to fill 64 Project Assistant-II and Project Associate I/II vacancies. The applicants satisfying the requisite qualification may apply through ONLINE MODE only, Apply Online on the official Web-site of this CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (SERC), Chennai i.e. https://serc.res.in/. The online application portal will be opened on 08.05.2026 for filling online applications and the date for closing the online application interface is 21.05.2026.

Eligible candidates with qualifications Diploma, B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, M.Sc can apply online. Candidates should note that the primary Job locations for these posts are Chennai. 1. Project Associate-II MMP045201 – PAT-II
   • Essential: B.E/B.Tech(Civil/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or its equivalent) and 2 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services
   • Desirable: I. M.E/M.Tech/M.S (Structural Engineering/Aerospace Engineering Computer Aided Structural Engineering) from recognized University/Institute or equivalent with First class in Graduate Degree and II.GATE Score/ non GATE
2. Project Associate-I MMP045201 – PAT-I
   • Essential:  B.E/B.Tech (Civil Engineering) from a recognized University.
   • Desirable: I. B.E/B.Tech (Civil Engineering) with first class from recognized University / Institute or equivalent and II. Valid GATE Score
3. Project Associate-I SSP 444 – PAT – I
   • Essential:  B.E/B.Tech (Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent) from a recognized University / Institute equivalent.

   • Desirable:  Sound knowledge in Structural analysis and design,Proficiency in Finite element analysis software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, Staad Pro, etc  Knowledge in concrete technology, microstructure of concrete, SEM, TGA is preferable.

1. Project Associate-II – Rs.35,000/- p.m. + HRA (for GATE holders) , Rs.28,000/- p.m. + HRA
2. Project Associate-I – Rs.31,000/- p.m. + HRA (GATE holder) , Rs.25,000/- p.m. + HRA (Non-GATE)
3. Project Associate-I – Rs.25,000/- p.m. + HRA (Non-GATE)
4. Project Associate-II – Rs.28,000/- p.m. + HRA (for non-GATE)
5. Project Assistant – II – Rs.20,000/- p.m. + HRA
