A total of 128 vacancies have been announced – 17 Non-Clinical posts (Walk-in on 30.05.2026) and 111 Clinical posts (Walk-in on 29.05.2026 for regular clinical; 28.05.2026 for Super Specialties). These are distributed across UR, EWS, OBC, SC, and ST categories. As per relevant rules, 4% reservation is to be provided for PwBD if vacancy is 100 or above. Vacancies are subject to increase or decrease.

ESIC Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
The crucial date for determining age limit, work experience, and other eligibility criteria shall be the date of Walk-in-Interview for the concerned department. Age relaxation will be applicable as per Central Government rules in force. Candidates who have completed 3 years tenure as Senior Resident in any Government Institution need not apply. Senior Resident already working in any Government Institution can apply only after obtaining NOC from the respective institute. The total period, however, should not exceed the maximum period of three years.

The application fee must be paid by way of Demand Draft only, drawn in favour of “ESI Fund Account No.1” on any Scheduled Bank, payable at Kolkata. Fee paid by any other mode will not be accepted and is non-refundable under any circumstances.

This is a Walk-in-Interview recruitment. There is no online application process. Candidates must appear in person at the Walk-in-Interview on the scheduled date for their respective department/specialty. Candidates must report between 09:30 AM and 10:30 AM at the Academic Block, 2nd Floor, ESI-PGIMSR & ESIC Medical College, Joka, Kolkata – 700104 for document verification. Candidates reporting beyond 10:30 AM will NOT be considered. At the time of the interview, candidates must submit the completed Application Form (Annexure-I) and Verification Slip (Annexure-II) along with all original documents and one set of self-attested copies.

Important Instructions for ESIC Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 Candidates
- Candidates who have completed 3 years tenure as Senior Resident in any Government Institution need NOT apply.
- Senior Residents already working in any Government Institution must obtain NOC from the respective institute before applying. The total period shall not exceed 3 years including any previous service.
- Candidates on bond are NOT eligible to apply; candidates who have completed compulsory post-PG Bond Service must produce a Bond Clearance Certificate from Appointing Authority.
- Candidates must report between 09:30 AM and 10:30 AM – those reporting beyond 10:30 AM will not be considered under any circumstances.
- The Demand Draft for application fee must be issued after the date of this advertisement (11.05.2026); DDs issued before this date will not be accepted.
- A security deposit of Rs. 32,000/- by Demand Draft must be paid at the time of joining; it will not be refunded if the Senior Resident terminates the agreement in between the engagement period.
- Private practice of any kind is strictly not allowed during the engagement period.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for joining or for any other purpose.
- For Non-Medical candidates, Non-Practicing Allowances (NPA) will be deducted from the consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,48,669/-.
- The offer of engagement for Super Specialty Senior Residents will be subject to successful engagement of teaching faculty in the same Super Specialties.
- This engagement is purely contractual and terminable by either side with one month’s prior notice. Selection does not confer any right of confirmation or continuation.
- The Dean, ESI-PGIMSR, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Joka reserves the right to vary vacancies including increase, decrease, cancellation, or withdrawal of offer of engagement without assigning any reason.
